ATLANTA. March 18/PRNewswire/ – The Bako Medical Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to advance diagnostic excellence in the field of podiatry, announces a grant of up to $100,000 to the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, to fund the newly established Bako Medical Education Foundation Scholarships. The grant, to be paid over four years, subject to certain conditions, will provide annual recognition and financial assistance to top accepted and/or enrolled Scholl College students.
“The Foundation is pleased to provide this grant to Rosalind Franklin University,” said Steven J. Berlin, DPM, FACFAS, a Foundation Board Member and Grants Committee Chair at the Bako Medical Education Foundation. “We recognize the important role that the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine plays in educating and training our future clinicians and we are honored to play a small role to further this important endeavor.”
Acting Provost and Scholl College Dean Nancy L. Parsley, DPM, MHPE, said the scholarship provides a new opportunity to recognize and support deserving students.
“We’re pleased by the foundation’s generous investment and continued partnership in the advancement of excellent podiatric care,” Dr. Parsley said. “I look forward to congratulating the first recipient of this award next fall.”

Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine to enroll and/or recognize future clinicians who will uphold the values of both the Bako Medical Education Foundation and Rosalind Franklin University.”
