ATLANTA. Dec. 8, 2018 – The Bako Medical Education Foundation, a non-profit organization which seeks to advance diagnostic excellence in the field of podiatry, launched its website, bmef.org. The website creates greater awareness of the Foundation’s mission and grant opportunities supporting podiatric medical students.

“Our website communicates our unique focus advancing diagnostic excellence as we seek to educate, empower and inspire the podiatric medical community,” stated Suzanne MacCormack, chairman of the board of the Bako Medical Education Foundation. “I am also proud to work with a team of seasoned podiatric medical professionals who comprise our board of directors. This team of physicians helps shape Foundation policy to ensure that Foundation grants will make the most impact.”

In addition to Ms. MacCormack, the BMEF board includes several recognized leaders in the podiatry profession including Steven J. Berlin, DPM, FACFAS, Edward H. Fishman, DPM., and John P. Nelson, DPM, FACFAS, CWS.  In addition, J. David Jacobs, JD serves as the Foundation’s Corporate Secretary and General Counsel.

The Foundation currently provides financial grants to podiatric medical institutions to enable these institutions to provide merit scholarships to their students. Learn more about grants at bmef.org/grants.
